Interior Designer, Kitchen & Bath

Davin Interiors is seeking an Interior Designer with experience in luxury residential projects, specifically with kitchen and bath, to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. This position is full-time, exempt from overtime requirements.

The ideal candidate must have a passion for design and be highly skilled in construction drawings with CAD, SketchUp and Lumion. He or she must have strong expertise in all aspects of kitchen and bath design, including layout, cabinetry, plumbing, lighting and appliances.

He or she will demonstrate a positive attitude, a high-level of energy, and the ability to work well under pressure. He or she must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and have excellent communication skills. The position reports to Catherine Davin, the Principal Designer and Owner.

As the Interior Designer, Kitchen & Bath, you will:

  • Collaborate with Principal on all creative aspects of interior design, with a focus on kitchen and bath design and digital construction drawings
  • Lead all tactical aspects of project work, from initial measures to final installation
  • Communicate seamlessly with vendors and clients across multiple projects
  • Prepare and revise drawings, quotes, schedules and specifications
  • Maintain budgets and project timelines
  • Place and track orders in Studio Designer
  • Create and maintain project documentation
  • Receive and inspect items

You’re the right candidate if you have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Interior Design
  • 2+ years of residential design experience, specializing in kitchen and bath
  • Expertise in Sketch-Up, AutoCAD, and Lumion
  • Strong hand sketching ability
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency in Studio Designer a plus
  • Car available for local travel
  • Availability for occasional evening and Saturday hours

Part-Time Office Manager

Davin Interiors is seeking a Part-Time Office Manager, preferably with experience in an interior design studio, to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. This position is part-time, Monday-Friday from 9AM-1PM, non-exempt from overtime requirements.

The ideal candidate must be a problem-solver, detail-oriented, and organized. He or she will demonstrate a positive attitude, a high-level of energy, and the ability to work well under pressure. He or she must be client-centered, self-motivated and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The position reports to Catherine Davin, the Principal Designer and Owner.

As the Office Manager, you will:

  • Manage front desk reception (includes, but not limited to, answering and directing phone calls, handling mail, welcoming studio visitors)
  • Perform office maintenance duties (includes, but not limited to, ordering and restocking supplies, maintaining office equipment, tidying studio)
  • Manage project administration (includes, but not limited to, coordinating installations and deliveries, scheduling client meetings, checking stock)
  • Create client proposals and invoices, and place and track orders
  • Communicate seamlessly with designers, vendors and clients across multiple projects
  • Optimize or create office systems to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Support the management of social media profiles
  • Perform occasional errands and personal assistant duties for Owner

You’re the right candidate if you have:

  • College degree preferred
  • 3+ years of work experience in an office administrative role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google G-Suite
  • Proficiency in Studio Designer a plus
  • Familiarity with and interest in the interior design industry
  • Car available for local travel
