This year has been such an exciting one for Davin Interiors! We’ve continued to do some incredible and exciting work both near and far – including the Traditional Home Napa Valley Showhouse (take a look at that project here). As if that weren’t exciting enough, I am just getting home and settled after spending an amazing few days in London for the National Design Educational Experience that I earned through Kravet Inc. I will share more about that below. We were also pleased to be featured in the Winter Issue of the Kravet Inspired.News newspaper, which included a story on one of our favorite Pittsburgh projects.
The story shares how we warmed up a new construction home to give it a cozy and inviting feel. Take a peek at the feature on page 28. You can see all of the photos from this project here.
The Kravet Inc. National Design Educational Experience to London was truly unforgettable. We toured private archives, visited design centers, and celebrated at some of the best restaurants in the city. Sightseeing and exploring London alongside a few members of the Kravet family and my fellow designers from around the country was such a treat.
Nicky Haslam and I stopped for a photo at the Andrew Martin showroom in central London. Last week he was awarded the prestigious Andrew Martin Award and gave us a delightful presentation of his amazing career.
Here is a photo I took of Knole House in the English countryside on a misty morning. Even in the fog, the beautiful architecture shines through.
How incredible is this? It’s a mirror frame from the Knole that’s undergoing restoration. It’s hard to describe the stunning detail, but it was really breathtaking.
It was fantastic to see the famous “Knole sofa,” which is currently on its way to be restored!
Overall, 2016 was great to us at Davin Interiors. We had some incredible experiences, and I can’t wait to see what 2017 has in store!
Happy holidays!
